Honua Ola Bioenergy, also known as Hu Honua Bioenergy, on Wednesday filed a lawsuit in the state Supreme Court requesting the Public Utilities Commission be ordered to vacate its July 9 decision that nullified an amended power purchase agreement the almost completed Pepeekeo power plant had with Hawaiian Electric Co.

From a priority perspective, the PUC’s mission entails providing effective oversight of regulated entities and addressing the future needs of the state’s utility system in an economically, operationally, and environmentally effective manner. Hu Honua said in its filing Friday with the PUC that it used Google Analytics, Verizon Wireless, the publicly available website show myip.com, Google Maps, the White Pages and Intelius to pinpoint the location where the emails were emanating and that Curtis is associated with that street address.
