In the following video, students from Hawaii Community College’s Electrical Installation and Maintenance Technology program toured Honua Ola Bioenergy to learn about renewable energy and available career opportunities in this and other complementary industries.
The students gained valuable knowledge in several areas related to the production of firm, renewable energy, along with how Honua Ola will support other industries on Hawaii Island, including forestry.
The video was produced and narrated by Derek Kurisu of KTA Superstores. Derek is a strong supporter of developing renewable energy sources to power Hawaii Island, especially for the benefit of our future generations. Derek supports Honua Ola and how this innovative bioenergy facility will make our island more energy independent and lessen our need to rely on fossil fuels.
